You must be at least 21 years of age to rent a cabin.

Do you allow Pets in the cabins or on the grounds?

Dogs are permitted in designated cabins only (i.e. Cabins 2, 3 & 5).  Other cabins may be approved on a case by case basis. A non-refundable pet fee of $75.00 for the 1st dog and $50.00 for each additional dog is required. Only non-aggressive dog breeds with up-to-date vaccinations are permitted.  Please see our terms and conditions for additional details.

What is your refund and cancellation policy?

Effective January 14, 2024, our updated cancellation policy extends the notice period from 14 to 21 days for all bookings made on or after this date. This adjustment allows us ample time to rebook accommodations. Guests who cancel with 21 days or more notice from the check-in date will receive a full refund, minus a $50 per cabin or 3% cancellation/credit card processing fee (whichever is greater). For parties booking two or more cabins for the same dates, a cancellation period of 30 days or more is required.  No refunds or credits will be issued for “no shows,” early departures, inoperable appliances (i.e., hot tubs, etc.), or inclement weather, without exception.  For cancellations or change requests, kindly contact our office. Please refer to our terms and conditions for additional information.  We advise considering the purchase of the available third-party travel insurance.

How much of a deposit do I need to reserve a cabin?

A 50% deposit is required if booking more than 21 days in advance. The remainder of the balance will be due 21 days prior to check-in. If booking within 21 days of your stay, the entire amount is due at booking.  Additionally, a $150 “security deposit hold” is placed on the credit card before arrival, and it will be promptly released post-check-out if no damages are identified.  Please refer to our terms and conditions for additional information.

What do I need to do before checking out?
Upon check out, please wash your dishes, move all trash to the outside receptacle, and place soiled towels in the Shower.
Do you allow single (1) night stays?
Two night minimum stay is required unless there is a single night available in between bookings , a weeknight adjacent to another booking or a weeknight available within seven days of arrival. If you are unable to book a single night on our booking calendar, please email [email protected] for a booking link.

Our cabins include: bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows), towels and washcloths, toilet paper, bath & hand soap, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, toaster, coffee maker, filters, can opener, dishes, glasses, utensils, pots & pans, stove, fridge, central heat & air, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, camp fire pit, wood, charcoal grill, and lawn chairs.

Is smoking allowed on the premises?

In accordance with Illinois laws, smoking is not allowed in the cabins. You are welcome to smoke outside on our porches, but please utilize the ashtrays provided. Please see our terms and conditions for additional details.

What is the closest store for supplies?

Just 2.7 miles down Karbers Ridge Road, near Herod, Illinois is Harbisons Country Market a great little gas station/convenience mart for your basic necessities, including light groceries, deli sandwiches, daily specials, and hand-dipped ice cream. For a larger grocery selection, including produce and meats, try the Super Walmart or Kroger in Harrisburg, Illinois, approximately 18 miles away.

Are your cabins wheelchair accessible?

Due to the natural rugged terrain of the area, none of our property is completely wheelchair accessible. However, our 2 Bedroom cabins are the most accessible, as they have no stairs at the entrance or exit, and are all on one level.

Are there good restaurants nearby?

While there are no chain restaurants in the immediate area, there are some good places to eat locally. For fresh catfish and other favorites, a quaint, seasonal restaurant that floats on the Ohio River, we recommend the E-Town River Restaurant in nearby Elizabethtown, Illinois and Shotgun Eddys in Eddyville, Illinois. Multiple other choices including local favorites Mackies Pizza, Morellos Italian Restaurant, and several chain restaurants and fast food, can be found in Harrisburg, Illinois.
